📋 The Problem

Wireframes from scratch, every time.

During the carbonisation of the Partner Portal, designers needed to rapidly prepare application flows and wireframes for the first stage of the Experience Review Board (ERB 1) — but stakeholders didn't want design time spent on wireframing itself. Building flow diagrams and Carbon-aligned components from scratch for every submission was slow, inconsistent across squads, and slowed down early validation right when the Lightning to Carbon migration needed speed most.

Role

  • Title: Senior Product Designer
  • Focus: Design system & early-stage UX validation
  • Scope: User Flow Library creation & ERB 1 enablement
  • Team: Product, engineering, design, ERB stakeholders

Stakeholders didn't want time spent on wireframes — so I had to make exploring ideas fast enough that it stopped costing them anything.

🛠️ Solution & Contribution

I built the User Flow Library, a reusable Figma library, so designers could assemble application flows and wireframes from consistent, Carbon-aligned components instead of building each one from scratch.

Library

User Flow Library

I designed a reusable Figma library of flow diagrams, wireframe layouts, and Carbon component placeholders, so exploration stayed fast without sacrificing consistency with the design system.

02
Standardisation

Template integration

I embedded the library into a standard PRM template to standardise ERB 1 submissions and make iteration simpler across squads.

03
Collaboration

Cross-team input

I worked closely with designers, product, and development to make sure the assets reflected real ERB needs and how components actually got used, not just how they looked in a library.

🚀 Impact

The library accelerated ERB 1 preparation across squads, reduced wireframing time through reuse, improved consistency with the Carbon design system, and enabled earlier validation of flows and interactions — before anything reached high-fidelity design.

🎯 The User Flow Library became a cornerstone of ERB 1, letting teams focus on validating the experience instead of rebuilding components from scratch — and contributed directly to the Partner Portal's carbonisation.
